Fisher the Bear
Fisher is an awakened bear. He had been awakened several years ago by an Elven Druid as a reward for keeping wolves from killing him and his animal companions.
When Fisher is first met, he won't approach. Any obvious intention of friendliness towards him will have Fisher approaching to say hi. He is very chatty, often mentioning his solitary life in Eryn Dur and lack of other bears to talk to.
Fisher loves to go swimming and fish in the Soranen River that runs from the far north of Eryn Dur through to the Glanathil Mountains.
Fisher isn't exactly a guardian of the forest, but he is nosy and likes to tell people when he finds something out of place. He doesn't go into town much, but there are the people of the forest that know him and will listen to him without problems.

Notes | These massive carnivores weigh more than 1,800 pounds and stand nearly 9 feet tall when they rear up on their hind legs. They are bad-tempered and territorial. The brown bear’s statistics can be used for almost any big bear, including the grizzly.
CombatA brown bear attacks mainly by tearing at opponents with its claws. Improved Grab (Ex) To use this ability, a brown bear must hit with a claw attack. It can then attempt to start a grapple as a free action without provoking an attack of opportunity. Skills A brown bear has a +4 racial bonus on Swim checks. |
