Elf, Fornastrim (Arctic)

Fornastrim - translated as the People of the Northern Lights, the Fornastrim are the tribes of elves living in the Nuoril Mountains and the Fornast Islands far to the north of Elwindil. They are expert foragers, fishers, and hunters. They are nearly as aquatic as the Cyrintillians far to the south.

Skill Bonus: Survival (Arctic) +2, Balance (Ice-like, slippery surfaces) +2

Come equipped with a Fornastrim Sapphire - an enchanted semi-precious stone that can be affixed to a necklace, kept in a pouch, etc. The sapphire grants protection from severe cold and exposure.

Some of the Scouts and rangers travel with Sea Leopards as companions. Their scouts can also have Seawolves as mounts.

Traits

Fornastrim Traits (Ex) These traits are in addition to the high elf traits, except where noted.

+2 Wisdom, -2 Charisma.

Favored Class: Ranger. This trait replaces the high elf’s favored class.

Fornastrim have a natural resistance to cold and are able to survive in the harsh arctic environments of the Nuoril Mountains and the Fornast Islands. They have a deep understanding of the natural world and are able to navigate the treacherous terrain with ease.

Their expertise in foraging, fishing, and hunting also makes them valuable members of any group traveling through the arctic regions of Elwindil. Their sapphires provide protection from the elements, making them well-suited for harsh environments.

In addition to the Fornastrim Sapphire, the Fornastrim are known for their close bond with sea creatures, including sea leopards and seawolves, which they often use as companions and mounts.
