The Duergar are a type of dark dwarves that reside in The Underground, which is a vast labyrinth of caverns beneath the Nuoril Mountains in Elwindil. They are known for their cunning and are skilled in metallurgy, making weapons and armor of exceptional quality. They are a reclusive people, preferring to remain underground, but they are not above trading with surface-dwellers when it suits their purposes.
