Halflings are the folk living in the region of Ithilia found in Eryn Dur south of the Living Forest. Because of their adventurous nature, they can be found throughout Elwindil and indeed the world. Their largest city is Thimlonde. They have peacefully coexisted with the elves throughout history. They regard each other as having an older-younger sibling relationship.

The halflings of Ithilia are known for their love of good food and drink, their hospitality, and their quick wit. They are also skilled craftsmen, skilled farmers, and excellent merchants. Halflings are generally peaceful creatures, but when pushed, they are not afraid to defend themselves and their families.

In Thimlonde, the halflings have established a council to govern the city and its surrounding area. The council is composed of elected representatives from each of the city's neighborhoods, and they make decisions based on the needs and desires of the citizens.

Ithilia is known for its rich soil, which allows for abundant crops, and its large meadows, which are perfect for grazing livestock. The halflings take great pride in their ability to provide food and drink to their guests and they are well known for their ability to cook up a great feast.

Aside from their love of good food and drink, halflings are also known for their love of adventure. They are always eager to explore new places and experience new things. This has led to many halflings traveling the world and making homes in far-off lands. Despite this wanderlust, halflings are fiercely loyal to their families and their communities and will always return to their hometowns when the call is sounded.
