Izzurbrod

Izzurbrod is the god of the Orcs and is aligned with Chaotic Evil. He is known as the source of the Orc's population and is considered the god of chaos, evil, destruction, fire, and madness. His favored weapon is a greataxe.

According to legend, every night after a long day of battle, Izzurbrod is hacked to pieces by other gods, and the pieces fall down among the Orcs of the Eight Tribes of Izzurbrod, who are collectively known as The Body of Izzurbrod.

Each of the eight tribes is said to receive a different part of Izzurbrod:

• Ironfist
• Longtusk
• Hardfoot
• Keeneye
• Strongarm
• Swiftleg
• Deepchest
• Leatherneck

Every morning, Izzurbrod rises again, fully refreshed and regenerated, and fights single-handedly against the gods who fought him the night before. There are two beliefs about Izzurbrod among the Orcs: some believe that it is the essence of Izzurbrod that goes into them, while others believe that they are the true flesh of Izzurbrod. Those who believe in the latter view half-orcs as abominations to the body of Izzurbrod, while those who are more spiritual see them as blessed by Izzurbrod but not part of the body.
