Elwindil has, for many centuries, been ruled over by the elves. This can be seen in the place names found throughout the land. As the humans and gnomes moved into Elwindil, these place names remained. Other inhabitants of Elwindil - dwarves, halflings, and other lesser-known races - have their own names for their places, as well. Human and gnomish names have been added to this tapestry over the last two hundred years as these races grew and spread on the Elwindilian continent.
